Carol Leonard and John Hamilton have owned Ole since 1977. We previously crewed on her, racing in the Bay in the 1970's, when L-36's raced as a one-design fleet. We crewed on her sailing over to Maui in 1976 and bought her the following year and shipped her back on a Matson. Over the years have restored her fairly extensively, engaging Jim Linderman for much of the work.

Ole was built in 1960. She is hull #7, but there is reason to think she was built much later in the series the her number would imply - perhaps the #7 was held in reserve and issue later. Ole is the original name.
