Do Not use this table! Use This table instead. The table below will split your work. I post it because it is the one you will most likely find on other sites. It is based on work by American Wood Council and will produce the strongest attachment assuming that you are driving a screw into the center of a 12 foot 4x12 with an impact wrench. You will find using these almost impossible to drive the screw home and if you are not in the middle of a 4x12 you likely will split out. I found out the hard way and created a very nice set of recommendations.
